These guys are extremely customer focused. I was paying $25 a month for monitoring services for a 20 year old alarm system that was tied into my home phone. We dumped our home phones because they are just a waste of money and only use our cell phones these days so the old alarm system didn't work anymore. The old alarm company wanted $700 to put a new cellular pad in the house and it had nowhere near the bells and whistles I get with ADT.
I now have the $59 a month service from ADT and they used all my old door and window detectors which is a very large number that are hardwired in so that is great. Kyle, my sales rep explained all of this to me and he was great through the whole process. Pat, the installer came by today to install the system - he was awesome - knows his stuff inside and out, was pleasant, and efficient. For the $99 I upgraded to cellular, got a motion detector, a camera, another wireless detector for the wine cellar, a lamp switch, and the alarm can be armed and disarmed from one of 4 places:
1) The downstairs keypad
2) The upstairs keypad
3) A key fob - this is great for walking the dog - go out the back door and arm the whole house with a press of a button
4) My cellphone - the ADT Pulse App from the App Store works great. I can see what is going on on the camera, arm the house from NY if I want, set up a vacation schedule so the lamp goes on and off at certain times while I am on vacation.
I needed a new system anyway, and if I think about some of the things we spend money on, an extra $35 a month for great safety, piece of mind, convenience, flexibility, and state of the art technology was an easy decision for me.
ADT has good technology but the real difference maker here is California Security Pro. These things can get complicated and having a great dealer that is first class from the sale through to the install deserves a review like this . Not easily impressed but was today.

I don't do reviews, but these guys were awesome! Brandon was amazing, prompt, professional and kind. Even nice to my crazy dog. Installation took longer than anticipated due to our old house, but they did their best to finish on time. I feel more secure and satisfied. We've used bay alarm, AT&T digital life and now Adt and so far this was a stellar experience. The service is a bit more expensive, but I'm hoping that is because of the quality of the experience! And that if we ever do need the alarm for realz, Adt will be ready.

I recently switched to California security pro from another Los Angeles based alarm company that I had used for 8 years. The other company had me frustrated for many reasons.Mr. Rodriguez came right on time for my appointment and was able to answer all my questions. He made himself available for any further questions, which I did end up having. He was helpful without being pushy. The technician, Daniel, was equally helpful even when I kept bugging him with more questions! Daniel did an excellent job with the installation and was able to complete everything I needed in a timely manner. A stellar track record on Angie's List and Yelp led me to California Security Pro and boy they didn't disappoint. I did a ton of research online on different monitoring companies and found that while ADT is the largest provider in the US, service levels can vary significantly by region depending on the dealer. Lucky for me the folks over at CSP have been top notch and my rep in particular, Angel, has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Angel was very good in explaining his product and why they're differentiated. I also didn't feel pressure to give him the sale which was refreshing. He's extremely professional and I don't think Ive met an individual that's more dedicated to their job in a while. Seems like he's constantly seeking professional improvement. I've had a number of follow up questions since my installation and he's been quick to respond to everything, day or night, and always with a positive attitude. We recently upgraded our company phone system and needed to upgrade our alarm system as well. After getting a quote from our incumbent company Bay Alarm, I was referred to Kyle Madison @ ADT to see their offerings. Knowing our alarm situation, Kyle made it a point to meet me the same day which I was pleasantly surprised. Not only that, the alarm package he put together is more secure than our existing system with the advantage of now having cameras on all our external doors...all at a recurring cost much less than Bay Alarm's offering as well as their legacy system that was previously in place (since year 2000). Kyle made this whole process painless and I'm excited with the new setup as well as the peace of mind that goes along with it. We decided to install a security system in our home after a burglary. Otis, our sales rep, came out to evaluate our needs and give us a quote on an installation to meet our needs. He was very professional, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable and helped us decide on the best system to meet our needs. He did a walk-through to determine where all the sensors needed to be placed, and took our input about what we would like to have covered. He gave us a quote on costs and did not do a "hard sell" but let us decide (taking a few days) in our own time which we appreciated. Otis has been very responsive both with completing our purchase and being available to answer questions before and after installation. The installation was scheduled in a very timely manner and the installer did a good job. He then instructed us in the use of the system, and answered all questions we had at the time. I highly recommend this authorized dealer. Jarrett and Jeremy provided us not only professional service but such a sense of security. Jarrett gave us the best deal with no haggling and no issues. We had a horrible experience with another authorized dealer, in which the representative was completely unprofessional, possibly mentally unstable and made us feel incredibly unsafe in our new home. Jarrett answered all of my questions and was very sympathetic to our previous experience. Jeremy (the installer) was very gracious and professional. Extremely helpful in understanding the system and overall made us feel safe again and taken care of. They even followed up with a phone call to make sure everything was running properly. I recently moved to a new house and needed a security system. I researched about 10 different companies. ADT was one of the only ones that actually came to my house to give their recommendations on what security MY house needed versus what was the most expensive option. Angel Rodriguez came to my house to talk to me about my options. He was extremely knowledgeable about the proper security measures I should take for my house, and was very courteous, kind and respectful. Installationwas scheduled quickly and the installer was fantastic. He showed up on time, worked hard and really made sure to check and double-check that everything was working properly. Then he spent a good 15 minutes talking me through the different options, instructions and capabilities of the website and app. I highly recommend ADT for their service, in particular Angel. We called ADT to get an estimate for a security system. Jarrett was the salesman who came out. He was very attentive, listened carefully to our needs and concerns and provided some great recommendations. He even gave us tips on things that we could do on our own to make our home even safer. He was very patient when we told him we were stil shopping around and invited us to call him at anytime and he'd come back out at our convenience. After talking to other alarm companies, we felt ADT offered the best equipment for our needs. True to his word, Justin came back to our home the same day that we called him back, finalized everything and arranged for installation the very next day. Rene was our installer and was also great. There was a minor glitch in the installation, but Rene came out the next day and quickly fixed it. We've had the system for a week and it's working great. "first rate system"
We had a great experience with Ca Security Pro - ADT. We had explored several ADT contractors before deciding. We dealt with Jason Greathouse and he was thorough and clear in what we could and should consider. We chatted several times with him and clarified our choices. We felt that the pricing was very favorable so we went ahead with the installation. Carl, their installer is likewise a star. He was very capable and clear in explaining the system - how to use it , etc. He worked efficiently and did a wonderful job. We've done a lot of remodeling and dealt with a lot of contractors of all types over many, many years and 3 different Bay Area locations. We are happy that we now have a first rate system installed and have chatted with the monitoring staff and are happy that we have access to them and that they are there when we need them. So, no reservations about this recommendation.
