This will most definitely be a fun outing to enjoy in the coming weeks with an Ice Kingdom to explore, outdoor ice skating, ice tubing and other fun events.

Keeping up with Crime in Long Beach 

Long Beach Police Department had posted the September 2014 crime reporting statistics. There were a reported 211 violent crimes reported to LBPD in September, 2014. 1,020 property crimes were reported in September as well. Closer examination of the statistics will show that while residential burglary is down 21 reported events from last year, commercial burgalary is up 21 reported events. Grand theft for September 2014 has surpassed the totals for September 2013 by 8 and while petty theft over $50 has decreased by 22 events, petty theft over $50 has increased significantly with a reported 36 more reported events than last year.

Personal Security at the Office -from Attorney General's Office 

1. Always lock car door after entering or leaving your car.
2. Park in well-lighted areas.
3. Have your car keys in your hand so you don't have to linger before entering your car.
4. Check the back seat before entering your car.
5. If you think you are being followed, drive to a public place.
6. If your car breaks down, open the hood and attach a white cloth to the car antenna. If someone stops to help, stay in the locked car, roll down the window a little and ask them to call a tow service
7. Don't stop to aid motorists stopped on the side of the road. Go to a phone and request help for them.
