Spring is beautiful, but for many, summer is the season we wait all year long for!

Summer is in full swing in Seattle. That means taking advantage of all the outdoor fun! Our Seattle reps have a few suggestions to help you get inspired to get out and enjoy the great weather. Here's a small slice of the movie experience available in or close to Seattle. If you haven't tried them all, this summer might be the time to do it!

A great summer tradition is outdoor movies. This is a personal favorite with my family. Here's a list of every outdoor movie playing in seattle (that's actually the name of the article so it has to be right.) Outdoor movie provide family, friends and neighbors the opportunity to gather in beautiful outdoor settings, enjoy quality movies, and build a strong sense of community. Not to mention, it's a lot of fun and inexpensive or free! This year’s season will run from June 12th through September 11th and will take place at San Anselmo’s Creek Park and Fairfax’s Contrati Ball Field. Find the current Film Night schedule here.

If it's been a while, take a hike up Mount Rainier. On the theme of movies, visit the Smith Rafael Film Center. They get great review after great review from all the locals and visitors alike. If you are looking for a great independent film, look no further. You will find multiple award winning movies here. Not necessarily the ones that raked in millions at the box office, but the ones that won the hearts of film lovers for their passionate contributions to society. Check out there schedule here. Beyond great films, if you haven't seen the building on 4th, it's a beautifully restored and kept theater art deco building.

And finally, when is the last time you visited a drive-in movie? If your kids have not had the experience, a drive-in might be well overdue. AND, at the rate they are disappearing, it might not be a viable option for much longer. Washington boasts 4 and all are close enough to Seattle to make the trip. Check out this blog to the for 411 on the four remaining Washington Drive-ins.
