Let the countdown to 2015 begin! December has arrived in the City of Anaheim. With the holiday season in full swing, there is no shortage of activities to enjoy with family and friends right here in Anaheim. The 20th Nutcracker Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Village will be held on December 6, 2014 in Downtown Anaheim from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. There will be free kids craft activities, a family music show,  snow to play in, free train rides, an international food fair, and of course photos with Santa. The OC Brew Ho Ho (Southern California's largest holiday ale festival) will be held at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim on December 13, 2014  from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This event features more than 50 craft beers  (unlimited tasting), great food and classic holiday tunes. If you feel like giving back this season, but haven't figured out exactly how the SeniorServ program is looking for volunteer delivery drivers in the Anaheim area. This organization offers delivered meals and friendly visits to elderly home-bound senior adults. If you have the time, this opportunity could give you the chance to really brighten someones day.

Thankgiving is right around the corner and the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is in full effect. Don't forget to give back! On November 27, 2014 the Gobbel Gobbel Give will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gypsy Den in Santa Ana. This potluck party is held to feed the homeless. Bring a warmed dish of food, blankets, warm clothes or toiletries and help us assemble meals to take out to the people living on the streets. The historic Kellogg House in Santa Ana will be hosting a Holly Berry Tea on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 11:00- 2:00 PM and the Silver Bell Tea on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 11:30 AM. These Victorian tea parties will be hosted by the Victorian Tea Society who will be dressed in period attire. The house will be decorated for the holiday season and there will be tasty treats to enjoy and fine teas to sip. The OC Central Holiday Food Swap --Holiday Edition will be held on December 14, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. For this event you would bring something you made, grew of foraged for yourself (for example:pickles, preserves, baked goods, honey, granola, pasta, fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices) to swap and enjoy with other participants. Although this is a free event, there is a cap on the number of swappers who may enter, so if you are interested in participating be sure to register early. 

October has quickly come to an end. Imagine that, only two months left in 2014! The holiday season is full of fun festivities and things to do both in and out of the home.  El Capitan Theater will be featuring Tim Burton's the Nightmare Before Christmas in 4D from October 24- November 2! This classic holiday fare, in 4D will feature interactive sensory effects, including lights, scents, wind, snow and fog. This event will be a BLAST for the entire family! ICE at Santa Monica Pier opens November 1st. This 8,000 square foot beach-side ice skating rink is a great activity to enjoy with friends and family. Turkey Trot Los Angeles starts at 10:00 A.M. on November 27. The trot has 5k and 10k routes through historic Los Angeles. There is also a "widdle wobble" 1/2 mile family run. After the event the family can stop by the post event festival at Grand Park. 

Fall has arrived in the City of Bakersfield. October always seems to be a a fun filled month for kids and adults alike. Let the festivities begin!  October 24-25 the Bakersfield Speedway will host a Apocalypse BTuff Halloween Truck Festival. For this event the speedway will be transformed into a zombie apocalypse with a slew of interactive activities. Bakersfield Safe Halloween will be held on October 30 to October 31, 2014 at the Kern County Museum in Bakersfield. Local businesses and organizations sponsor a safe trick or treat setting with over 35 stations all over the grounds of the museum to support a fundraiser for the Kern County Museum. This event is for children ages 3-12 years old and you should grab your tickets soon as this annual event does sell out. If you are looking for a wicked attraction to check out this season, Scream in the Dark Haunted House is the place to be in Bakersfield. Experience two mazes for only $15! This spooky attraction is not for the faint of heart! 

October has arrived in the City of Anaheim. Fall alway brings a ton of fun festivities and events to enjoy. The annual gala to benefit Make-A- Wish Orange County and Inland will host a cocktail black tie optional event with an exciting evening of auctions, dancing and surprises on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 6:30 P.M.  Tickets tables and sponsorships are now available. Planning a wedding? If so the Great Bridal Expo- Anaheim is a can't miss event! This event will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center on October 23, 2014. And last but not least the Anaheim Fall Festival and Halloween Parade will celebrate it's 90's the year on October 25th, 2014. This is a time honored family event that has been enjoyed by generations. With craft booths, games, a variety of foods, vendors and costume contests, spending the day at this event will be nothing short of a great time for the entire family!

October has arrived in  the City of Santa Ana and with that being said the fall season always brings a myriad of family friendly activities. On Sunday, October 5, come out to Sunday On Main Open Streets (SOMOS), Santa Ana's first Ciclovia- a fun community event where the streets are open and car free and patrons run, bike or walk the three mile route.   For the foodies, Savor Santa Ana will be held on Thursday, October, 16 from 5:30 P.M. 9:00 PM. Come out to explore Downtown Santa Ana's culinary and arts district. Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park will be offering Santa Ana residents free admission on Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. to 4PM. October 4-November 2, Discovery Club Presents : Spooky Science. "Giant bugs, creepy crawlers and friendly spooks are all making their way to Discovery Cube for Spooky Science this October." Your children will thank you for making it to this seasonal event. 

We are midway through September and the fall season us upon the City of Los Angeles. The official first day of fall is September 22, 2014. If you haven't already made it out to the Los Angeles County Fair, now is the time! Remember the fair wraps up on September 28th. You still have a few more days to enjoy the festivities and of course some classic fair food! September 20, 2014 kicks off the 6th annual LA Brewers Beer Week, an event any beer enthusiast in the area might like to check out! September 20th will be the start of a  weeks worth of events hosted by breweries throughout the City of Los Angeles. If do you decide to attend this event, please  make sure you make arrangements to get home safe and sound!  If a tasty meal is more up your alley, the Galbani Cheese Italian Feast of San Gennaro Los Angeles, which was founded by celebrities-Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla 12 years ago, will take place on September 26-28 in Hollywood. Italian food from local eateries, live music and rides for the kids? Who could turn that down? Come out and experience Italian and Italian American culture at its finest!
