Now that you are either decided on an ADT Pulse system or up and running with your new ADT Pulse system, you will want to start customizing the home automation aspect of your alarm. A common feature to start with is a simple schedule, something most people are already familiar with. Many features of your home that you now have on a schedule or a timer can be automated to work with your ADT Pulse alarm system. What has got to be the best part of your personalized web portal is how it guides you through the process and continues to make suggestions on how to get the most out of your system. Not like a set up wizard that does a basic set up for you (although it does do that too!) but suggestions on the side bar to make your system do the hard lifting for you. Say you log in to inspect your videos religiously. It might propose the ides of having text and email notifications automatically sent to you for all surveillance events. ADT Pulse kicks off 2015 with exciting news about the highly anticipated ADT IFTTT Channel. Be on the lookout for an ADT IFTTT Channel release mid 2015! And not so surprising, the ADT Pulse Voice App is rocking the home security world. Like most Earth shattering technology news, ADT made these announcements to its loyal fans and curious onlookers alikeat the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015) in Las Vegas where 170,000 curious consumers were invited to swing by the booth and experience it live.

The ADT Home Security Booth continued to impress, proving that a smart home is a safe home. With a full blown ADT Pulse Security and Home Automation system, representatives used voice-prompts to command lights to dim, doors to lock, thermostats to cool, and alarm system to spring to life. A respectable amount of the 170,000 attendees dropped by to check it out; when all was said and done, TIME reviewed ADT's Pulse system as one of the 6 coolest Smart Home Innovations at the show.
